I kept trying to put the clothes in the closet, only realizing 30 seconds in that I should put them in the washing machine.

I think I'd enjoyed it more if, just like in real life, I could do more at the same time, but I understand from the perspective you're trying to make. What I mean is, filling both cat foods with the same cat food pickup, making multiple meals at the same time, picking up multiple clothes to wash them at the same time. Keeping the mop equipped to mop up all cat pee instead of retrieving it after each puddle. 

But as you're trying to make something stressful, with tweakable difficulty even (which is super commendable, good job!), I understand the decisions you made :)

Thanks for such deep analysis of the game. Implementation of multiple items and mop keeping requires some inventory implementation. So we decided to leave the gameplay as simple as we can and spend the rest of the time to content implementation.
