The gameplay itself wasn't very engaging, but I did find myself trying quite hard to piece together what happened to this man, so I was somewhat engaged by the story. More environmental storytelling and a bit snappier pacing in the beginning and I think this would be a pretty damn good story game.
I actually liked the pacing at the end, it felt like the slow crawl towards a second chance very much mirrored what the man went through in finding his own redemption for whatever happened (I'm still not 100% clear on the story, my best guess is some sort of drunk driving incident that he couldn't forgive himself for), but despite the shortcomings in the game, I still enjoyed my time with it!
