WOW! The atmosphere, lighting, particles, and general feel of this game were spot on. I think the platforming felt (mostly) fluid and the characters were really interesting!
There were a few things I think could have been improved:
- When changing areas, the color shift was very abrupt and didn't feel so great, I would have appreciated something more gradual.
- It was really easy to accidentally skip past story/dialogue, I think I missed most of Castor & Pollux's dialogue as well as their memory.
- The progression was a little wonky - the beginning was pretty slow paced, but as soon as I got the first upgrade (the speed one) the progression started to snowball out of control very quickly (I got all the rest of the upgrades in less time than it took me to find the first one).
- The sprite floating off the ground felt a little weird to me and kind of threw me off a bit.
- In some places there were platforms that would cast multiple shadows - this just felt a little weird to me.
- I didn't really understand what the last upgrade did (boon of wisdom I think), I didn't notice any difference when I got it.
All of those things were pretty minor though, I loved the ending (I got the best ending according to the game), loved the story, loved the overall feel of the game. Awesome job overall!
