I’m not sure where people keep getting those figures either, but I thought I’d look it up.

Getting indexed on Search & Browse -> Publishing vs Indexing -> Getting Indexed seemed like the right place for it. Towards the end of that paragraph it reads:

[…] There are also some scenarios where your page must be viewed by a moderator before it can be indexed. The most common case is for new sellers: If you’ve just created an account and you’re selling your first project, then your published page is placed in a queue for review. We generally review these the same day projects are published. […]

(I guess that’s where the 24 hours came from.)

[…] There are a few other automated checks (eg. our spam detector) which may delay your page from being indexed, but are generally pretty rare. If you find your page isn’t immediately indexed, then we ask that you wait a bit before reporting it. […]

While “a bit” is kind of future proof for this kind of page, it also would make me personally ask “Well, how long is ‘a bit’ then?” after waiting for about 24 to 36 hours - depending on how hard I worked on my project before finally releasing it, I personally would get antsy the next day around noon. I’m relatively new here, but given the frequency of these kinds of threads seem to appear lately, maybe that site should receive an update with some harder figures along with a ”…and please allow for X days before contacting our support team about the missing entry.”.

I’m not trying to run anyone else’s site here. It’s just a suggestion.
