Well my suggestion is:
1. Keep the core gameplay as simple as 1st among us. If you added more roles etc it ruin the "Mind Games" of original.
2. If you want more roles or variety. Make it a new game modes.
3. Suggested modes by me is: Alien mode--where theres a horror entity can move from vents to vents to kill astronaut but give astronaut ability to trap, escape even kill the alien too but NO GUNS. Alien isnt in a disguise but a horror creature that every astronaut know but need to prepare to defeat Alien or escape. Mode 2: No Killing-- Make impostor only can sabotage but not by map but going to the place to mess it up. So it will create fully to mind games and decide who to throw out. Mode 3: Murder Spesific roles-- Make only one impostor but astronaut have different roles. If one roles died, and that place is sabotaged. Then it will mess up many things, altering maps everytime a body found. Example: killing light electrician will make map dark until end of game of lightning is sabotaged because the only astronaut can fix it is dead. Also Impostor only can sabotage directly to the place not by map. Astronaut can still fix things but only related to landing bay. Mode 4 Identity theft--The impostor can steal other person likeness after killing. But can stay long to it because of time limit. The longer impostor stay to that form, the more creepier the form is. Impostor has different form and can ambush 1 person at start of the game. If seen, impostor automaticly lose. Impostor can kill anyone but also land to landing bay (See no 4). If the impostor land with other astronauts, astronauts loses. There is no dead bodies and death only noticeable if impostor dont wear the skin of their victims. So meetings triggered automaticly at several times. No voice chat.
4. Suggested enhanced feature: Make room more darker. Yes you cant really see anyone in the game if light turn off. But make it darker like pitch black except around the player, also make the one killed also dont know who the killer is while dark. Enhanced 2: Make time progressing too. So its pressure impostors and astronauts to make decisions and killing too. Example in space ship if the ship damaged and they near the landing bay they all died. So its pressure to astronauts. And if astronauts successfully lands, the impostor lose. Enhanced 3: Nerf vents, add ability to lock some vents for astronauts to block vents to make impostor killing harder, also related to time progress, more vents will be blocked closer to landing bay.
