What engine does it run on?

Its a simple engine called FPS creator. Its not a hard engine to use, its pretty simple and fun to be honest.

How updated is it, and did you use the open source version?

Im not sure if its the open source version, but it is updated to the latest version yeah.

On that page there's 2 links. 1 says FPS Creator Classic and the other says FPS Creator Classic Update V120. Which did you use?

First I downloaded the first one, and then got the other one to update the first one

I think that may what caused your game to not work. I think the second link just installs the newest version of the program, and the first link installs the oldest version. I don't think one updates the other.
