Is this a really complex statement on capital punishment? In games the "secret" ending is usually an ending that resolves all the conflict in a desirable way, as if the player has "earned" a happy outcome. But here that happy ending is that we get to kill two criminals instead of just one. This results in the fewest number of future victims, sure, but I imagine most players aren't really thinking about the victims for those 2 minutes. We're being asked which of the two men is most repulsive, most deserving of death -- and our ideal winstate is not having to choose; getting to condemn them both without discernment. Our 'victory' lies in not having to confront our personal feelings about the crimes at all, or take responsibility for which atrocities would be allowed to exist under the weight of our individual prejudices. How do we escape from this dilemma? We kill them all.

Perhaps moral conflict is the spookiest theme of all. Anyway, the text was really small.
