Heya there,

I believe in your account settings, on the 'profile' tab--there's an option to hide NSFW games and content, which solves at least one of the issues hopefully! I also know there's a work around when searching on the site to exclude certain tags when searching (such as horror) though it's not implemented into the UI itself and is done via adjusting the URL as you search as explained in this post: https://itch.io/t/160014/can-i-use-exclusion-filters

So by utilizing both of those, you should be able to hide both NSFW and horror games! Understandably I know it's not the most elegant solution--but hopefully a good stopgap measure to make the site a bit more to your liking if desired. At least until potential systems were put in place.

Just as a heads-up for Sublimed Games: For me it only works in combination with other filters. Your experience might be different, though.

Ah, that's strange! I wonder why that might be?

https://itch.io/games?exclude=tg.horror

This link for example, shows everything for me except horror titles, with no other filters or tags needed or used. Does it not do the same for you?

It has been a while since I’ve actually tried to find something for myself, so it took me a while to realize: Those sets of result do show different games for me. Up until now I just assumed the default order was kind of randomized, because both the exclusion filter you linked and the default display of games display “311,173 results”.

… I take it that number is capped at 311,173 to show some mercy to the servers and that itch.io hosts more than 311,173 games then? ;) x)

Thank you for your help, FrostWorks! This has been both educational and fun for me. :)
