Thank you! Haha I thought about requiring the game to be running but felt like that kind of ruins the idea of an idle game.
That part was intended, the ruins are supposed to "reset " but with the artifact upgrade being permanent. I tried to make most of the artifacts worth the "reset". That way it's sometimes better to wait and activate a better or more powerful artifact.
