I really like the minimalist design and linking up planets feels quite satisfying. Having said that, I feel this game lacks a sense of challenge, since other than just trying to link up all planets as fast as possible by balancing the two resources, the player cannot really influence the outcome of the game. Perhaps it would be more interesting to allow the player to link any pair of planets in such a way that they have to create an efficient supply network in order to generate an ever larger fleet of ships. I assume that more features of the game were planned ('UI here' placeholder), but I'm guessing you ran out of time. That's unfortunate, because I can definitely see where you're going with this project!
