Not a bad space shooter! The slow-mo was pretty cool, just wish there was an indicator for when it was about to go back to real-time. I think there's some small (and simple) adjustments you can make to really take it to the next level. For one - you need some sound! What's a space shooter without sound?! Gotta have that pew pew pew! Also I didn't really like the fact that the score, level, and multiplier were outside of the game window, I think there's plenty of space either at the bottom or top to add those so you don't have to take your eyes off the game as much to see them. Also speaking of those stats, when you die it instantly resets to zero so if you weren't looking at them when you died you have no way of knowing what your score was. That sort of information should be displayed when you die and add a button to retry/restart so the player knows how well they did that time. The graphics were decent for the style of game, but I think if you were to add some better icons for the pickups it would help a lot. Right now they're all colored squares (aside from the health pickup which is good as is!) and they don't indicate what they do until you get them . Using the same color blue for the one pickup as the one enemy type bullet is also not the best thing to do since I found myself sometimes going for the bullets and getting hit thinking it was a pickup. All in all its a solid start, but definitely needs sounds and a few tweaks to really improve upon whats already there.
