Ok let me try to be a bit more clear. The fact that you said that people identifying as other than male or female is so confusing is really invalidating to nonbinary people. A lot of us have struggled with finding our identity and gaining acceptance, and all we want is for people to just use our pronouns without making a big fuss. And the fact that you are now so defensively stating that you are a girl because you are so afraid of people using they/them pronouns with you implies that you think there is something wrong with using they/them pronouns.
