Do you know any good recording tools for Linux I can be using?
If you want open-source software then "Openshot" will best.
If you want the best software then Filmora will be best.
But I would recommend you to use "Canva". It's best for best design and animation.
I did not know Openshot could record gameplay from a game. I thought it was a video editor. I will check it out and see what it can do
Openshot is a video editor, not a game recorder.
I would recommend you to use "Free cam" as a screen recorder. And it's free and open-source

You also could use Open Broadcaster Software. It's defined for streaming, but you can record gameplay with it, too.
