Gosh, I love the visuals. 2.5D is stunning, and you implemented it quite well!

Except for the visuals there wasn't much game to be had, though, and here's why:

  • Copyrighted music (Fools Garden - Lemon Tree), big nono
  • I walked to the left for a minute straight with nothing happening. Sure, that might be nice for the narrative, but its well... boring.
  • The intro cutscene just skipped for me after some time, I'm not quite sure what the protagonist keeps secret from me because of that.
  • I couldn't really understand the voices very well (except for the protagonist, props to him!). Some subtitles would be greatly appreciated, especially for non-native english speakers like myself.
  • The cuts between characters in dialogue were pretty harsh, the fade to black was really disorienting.

im sure that 11 seconds isnt a big deal ;b

This is the sort of feedback that I love, We actually had a few problems with the guy who was supposed to be our artist and started working on the art after 3-4 days in which everyone else ended up having extra burden over their heads, there was going going to be an interaction system which we couldn't polish enough to add in at the last moment, same thing happened with the voices and we were a little too focused on finishing the game on time that we ended up compromising with a lot of different aspects however, now that we have time we will continue working on the story alongside some other functionalities and release a more polished edition of the game. Thank you again for your review, it was my first game jam and I've learnt a lot of things that will help me out in the future so that I won't mess up with the minor details while rushing to finish the game on time.
