This game was interesting, the base concept sounded cool and the fact it was 3D is definitely rare among the submissions.  Though in reality it personally didn't end up so well...  Some specific points;

  • Losing powers as a "reward" for completing a level feels really counterintuitive.  Considering the fact that you don't even generally lose powers that impact gameplay at all.  It's just the more interesting or slightly useful powers that you lose.
  • The "flying" mechanic on the box is very physics based, which leads to a ton of accidental slips and falls which result in a complete restart.  I feel like possibly locking the rotation of the cubes could help?  Stop them rotating while the player is standing on them.
  • The fact that there are no checkpoints become slightly annoying when comboed with continually losing powers and issues trying to traverse gaps and such.  Adding checkpoints at the start of the level would help this though for sure.
  •  The "personality test" is very random and doesn't particularly add to the game especially since it didn't trigger when I reached the end, it only triggered when I left, and even when it did, all it did was give me all the powers I had at the start back.  Which was... surprising.

The base idea that was explained of a parkour and puzzle-esque game with super powers but unfortunately it seemed to not get finished, or went down a different route.
