Are you typing in commands or are you typing in just words?
Also the log works on both the browser version of the game, the downloadable free versions, and the steam versions, as for the console versions such as PS4, I do not know.
I completely forgot about this post, sorry. But I did figure out what was wrong, I was simply inputting commands that were unchangeable in my version of the game(the free version). I thank you for your help though
