This game is something. I really liked the visuals and the way you presented the instructions. The footage got me hooked till the end, The game made me feel like I was a teenager in 1997 watching some undergound forbidden footage hidden from my parents. That was a unique feeling, at least for me.

The interface needs some polishing, though. The options button was not working and I had no way of exit or restart the game pressing Esc or by any usual mean (I had to kill the aplication with Ctrl+Alt+Del in order to get back to my desktop).

I don't know if you plan to keep developing this game, but if so, i would recommend you to implement some audiovisual feedback when the player do something right (like clicking in the right direction), and no feedback when the player do something wrong (like clicking in the wrong direction). This would make the game a bit more addictive and inviting for the people who likes to explore unique medias like the one you provide with this game. A combo system and pontuation to unlock secrets or glitches that expand the lore would also be interesting, but I think this would be way more time consuming to implement. The text-to-speech voice you used could also recieve some filters to look like part of the footage, to improve the immersion.

Thanks. I was a Film maker and I have slowly been turning all my content into FMV games and interactive experiences.

I am so Glad it took you back to your teenage years I was a teen in the 90s too searching out obscure hidden gems myself so that comment really made me smile.

I was very limited with what i could do with this footage and I do think the VHS thing works well but yes I certainly agree with some kind of feedback with button clicks etc.

The menu side of things was all Stock with the engine and the lack of a quit button is a bit of a bummer there are ways of doing I have just not got round to implementing.

I release 1 game a month on Steam and eventually this will be one of those so for that release i will enhance it a bit taking in all the feedback i have gotten from the Jam.

Thanks again for playing
