Regarding your last question: I hadn't played any RMVXAce-engine games previously, at least to my knowledge, so I've just downloaded and tested four of such games (Luxaren Allure, Elys, Dreaming Mary & Ayda). The result is that all of them worked flawlessly, no problem whatsoever, at least apparently .
