Once I got over the initial speed bump of the difficulty and understood what the game was going for, this really revealed an amazing game. Despite there being so few mechanics, each of them integrate near perfectly with each other and reveals a surprising amount of depth and complexity without it ever feeling out of place. What makes it even better is the way that this complexity doesn't feel unwarranted, more creating more layers of strategy rather than complexity for complexity's sake. The way this core mechanic ties so seamlessly into the theme is also really awesome. Main thing I wish for is some way to restart or fast forward the game to make certain parts feel less slow paced and tedious, but that's really a small detail. I also wish that there was some way to know what sort of enemies were what, because I found the distinction between fire and earth enemies a bit difficult to make. This is a solid foundation for a game that could be expanded further in the future, but for what it is, this is genuinely extremely cool and I'd love to see more in the future :)
