The game is interesting and has good story, but it's just so punishing. When you die, you get sent back to the beginning of the game, which wouldn't be such an issue if there weren't any cutscenes or slow transitions. My recommendation: when the player dies, just have them restart the level, or implement a checkpoint system that allows them to skip the levels that they've already played. It's quite frustrating especially since you can't really control the jump height to hit some sawblade a few times and have to replay the whole game. I liked the portal effect as well as the +1 hp effect.
