I see what you did it here...

The design is really clever!! You start by thinking this is another "top down shooter" (well, he's technically that :/) where you have to save the humanity, but then you die, because of course you do, the first cycle is designed to be lost, and then you meet death and here is were the game really shines in design: you have the possibility to take the first route (the devs will hopefully understand, i'll try to keep it as spoiler free as possible) that will get easier and easier the more you die, but you also have the second route, where it's the complete opposite, and i think that this rute is what the devs are trying to push forward because the first cycles are super hard, so it's almost guaranteed that you'll die at least 4/5 times and you'll encounter at least one funny joke, that will push the player to switching the route they're taking (again, the devs will hopefully understand why this is correlated)

THIS GAME IS AWERSOME!! THE HUMOR IS HILARIOUS!! THE GRAPHICS ARE GREAT!! THE MUSICS ARE FANTASTIC!! 11/10 SUPER RECCOMENDED!! GOOD JOB!!

Reading your comment had me with the biggest grin on my face. You're exactly right, that was what I tried to do!!

I wanted to make a game that was more that meets the eye.
That reaction of "another top down shooter" was completely intentional, because Jonas Tyroller himself dissed those games so I wanted to try and make something creative with it by merging a completely different genre (a comedic dating sim) with it hahaha.
