This was a pretty neat little platformer, good work! It was a pretty unique concept, having to die to see the obstacles in the level - although I feel like it could've been implemented better, since dying over and over again to unpredictable obstacles wasn't really fun, just tedious. The level where you have to go down across the screen on invisible blocks, except at the end you get killed, is a pretty good example - it's not really creative, it just wastes time. Having limited lives didn't help either, so unless you memorised the layout of each individual level you'd have to go through the whole process over again. I get that it's supposed to be a frustrating game, and the quotes and general message of the game do help make it more engaging, but it's not really giving me any reason to play it over a second time after dying, and the quotes were too few and far between to really make much difference.
With that all being said and done, I did really like how polished the game was. The squash and stretch, coyote time, the variance in sound effects - all those little things, they did help make the game that much more entertaining to control and move about, and the effect when a block was revealed was pretty satisfying as well. There were a few minor things that could've been better - level transitions, some more feedback when moving, that sort of thing - and the controls did feel a bit too fast for a game with some precise platforming, but overall I did really enjoy how the game felt and controlled, so good job!
Overall, it's a nicely polished game, pretty simple, but it works well with the theme, so great job!
