There were two surprising moments that filled me with delight during this short, but charming game.
The first was when I accidentally walked into the spikes on the second level and was turned into a ghost. I've played many games this jam where dying gives you some platform or advantage during your next life, but this is the first one I've played where you have to do something as a ghost!
The differences between your two forms (gravity vs. beams of light) and using spikes/coffins to transform between them are simple mechanics, but you show in your levels that they have a lot of potential!
The second moment was somewhere on the 2nd or 3rd level when the snare drum kicked into the music and I started positively jamming while I played. After the slow opening bass notes I was not expecting such a banger. Many jam games struggle to find a balance between a repetitive loop and something too crazy random for their game, but I think you strike the perfect balance. There is always something new and interesting to listen to, but it's never too crazy and therefore distracting. I actually love the music so much I launched the game to listen to it a second time while I type this review. Great job!
The last thing I want to mention is how much I appreciate the human's jumping animation. I love how his backpack bounces!
This game only lasted about 3-5 minutes, but those few minutes were filled with joy and fun. I hope you're proud of what you created :)
