Thanks for your kind words! I thought of making a grab and perhaps jump but this being a two player game I wanted to keep the controls as simple as possible. There are issues on keyboard that do not have nkro with multiple keypresses, and two people can play this with just one controller (each of the sticks), so I weighed those factors and made the decision.
