Showcase #2.
(+1)

Thank you for making another showcase! We got greenlight for our prototype and are moving into production at the moment.

How was your experience playing our prototype? We'd love to hear how you think the game can be improved. :)

No problem! I am a massive fan of the backroom story and have played a few games of the kind in the past, so I will gladly follow the development process and bring whatever attention to it that I can! As of right now, my assumption is that you are the beast inside the game, which is cool and will surely be much fun, but it will greatly reduce the "horror" factor of the game. I think the third person camera also have this same effect, but works really well if the player remains the beast. One of the major things I loved about the backrooms was the unknown element, How you would hear the  distant and gut-dropping screech of some unknown beast, echoing through the infinite rooms! I have an example that worked really well:

(Go to 3:18 for specific example.)

This game is such a great example of how audio can absolutely terrify you, even without an actual monster! But a massive monster slowly closing in is always welcome haha. What I mostly liked about this game, was the scream. That scream was just soooo horrible. Imagine that closing in minute by minute. And then the fact that your sanity is slowly fading! This was somewhat what I hoped for. However, I see you guys are going for a different perspective of the game, which I very much like too! So far I do not have much to add to that in particular as I need to see a little more. I can only really tell you the qualities of the previous Backroom Games I have seen. What i do like about your take on it is the awesome art-style and props. I often feel the backrooms are a little empty, and the fact that you have made assets to the office spaces, and with that art-style, is a great addition. Regardless of what take you choose, I will follow along! Keep it up! :D

It's great to hear, that you are still interested in our game, even though it is different than what you expected!

We didn't really plan to produce a game, where horror is the main focus (that's why in our game you are playing as the monster), but we still want to create an eerie atmosphere.
We're not yet at the stage in production where we work on audio a lot, but when we do, we'll definitely keep your feedback in mind. The sounds / music will have a huge influence on the general atmosphere in the game after all.

Thank you again for this extensive feedback! :)
