Are you using the latest version of Nimble Kick? Also which folder are you putting it in exactly?

sorry for the late reply. it is the latest version, yes. Folder wise I'm trying to follow the "readme" thing, but the library folder has been locked on macOS for ages so, like with other VST's I have a separate drive which I boot them from, located that in Ableton and every VST is showing except for nimble kick
