Do I have to download a new copy every time there's an update? Or is there a different method that lets me save all data?
Sadly, save files sometimes are not compatible with new version. If you really want to preserve them, you could try making a copy on your PC. Here is the directory: %AppData% -> RenPy -> Wanderer
