I didn't have any issues with it. I found the music to be good and the graphics perfectly fine too. I'm guessing he's going for a minimalistic look which doesn't look half-bad honestly. Game also runs fine. Unity's fairly easy to run in general anyways.
And who gives a shit what engine it's running on? There are some million-dollar games out there that run on Unity. I mean I get it has some shame because it's easily accessible to people who make a game in twenty minutes, but if you know what you're doing you can really make some Unreal Engine-quality shit. It's amazing.

The optimization is fine ,it runs kinda well on mobile .
i have a Nvdia GTX 1050TI
i3 -7100 and it runs pretty smoothly
Seems like it specifally your problem ,something with drivers or stuff maybe?
Unity does have many problems such as :
Challenges in achieving clean code and architecture using Unity
Bad UI implementation
Difficulties in applying SOLID principles in Unity
Threading in Unity
And etc but tbh engine is more of a tool overall
and every engine has its own pros and cons
Dani is just more comfortable using unity compared to other stuff
and there is nothing wrong with that
The graphics is fine ,its just a asset rip off tbh with sometimes too much post proccesing
