The jam description says that it is perfectly ok to use other software as long as you try to imitate MS Paint's limitations, so i'm sure it's ok if you use the pencil in GIMP
thanks, im definitly going to emulate the restrictions im just on linux and linux doesnt have ms paint (i know unbelivable)
