Wait- you can beat the game??? I'm a bit sad about that. The game is really good though. I quite enjoy it and the art is wonderful. The general idea is very cute and I like the mechanics of it. Maybe after you've beaten the 20th floor an endless mode will be unlocked? And you get rewards for how far you get in it that will help you get farther next time? I think it could be a cool idea to play with.

There should be an option for a leader board, like something you can click on to check it. If it just pops up then that could suck for some people. I know some people that feel like they're not good enough if they end up not winning, getting first, etc. so maybe its something that could be disabled if its even added.
Funnily enough, originally the game was planned to be endless, maybe just keeping track of how far you got. But at the end we thought fighting big, boss-like enemy was a more satisfying ending.
Even after saying that, I do think there's so merit in the idea of having some sort of endless mode, and maybe even a leaderboard as you guys were discussing on the thread. But having a satisfying version of something like that will involve bespoke rules and progression compare with the current game, so I guess the only thing I can say right now is that we're more focused on the "story" mode of the game. Hopefully you can see where I'm coming from with this answer :)
