The first one shouldn't be happening since there is a timer that counts down for that one. I will have to look into it and fix it so that you have plenty of time to get to the elevator. As for the second one, that will also be fixed! If you can, try to continue forward to the very last block you see in that room and see if it activates when you interact with it. That should complete the puzzle. I believe this might just be a visual issue that I overlooked, but it will be fixed in an update we're planning on releasing sometime soon!
