This VN has really amazing visuals and a pretty good, mysterious story. There is one thing that keeps bugging me. Why does Asami speak broken English?
She's portrayed as having lived with the family for more than 15 years (based on a comment made by Summer). She would have pretty good English after living with the family that long. I know this because I interact with Asians all of the time, and I don't know a single Asian that talks this way after they've been in the US for 5 or more years. Most have been in the US for a shorter period of time. It just seems like an entirely unnecessary, race-based quirk.

I live in a country where of the 50mil people 80% grew up with English as second language yet it's very broken. THis is fact, Asami is Japanese and have never learned or bothered to learn proper English. I am sorry if you feel it's wrong or dare i say a trope or racist, definitely not meant as either.
I based this on the Asians I do know and black/African people I do know so it's not in any form or shape trying to be as i said above. Apologies if it's something that bothers you a lot, but I am not going to change it anytime soon. Remember not all people or countries are the same.
ps. you have me stumped regarding the 15 yrs with them quote by Summer. Asami's been with the family in their house 5 yrs and 2yrs before that will be explained later. Let me check my notes on this as i am stumped too.
