Hi AcheGames!

Oh my. I absolutely love this game. This is a game that I will be sharing with my friends and family. I will do my best here to provide some useful feedback but wow, bravo!

Theme: This game definitely fits the "match" theme of the jam, but I found that it lacked the speed component that these other games have nailed. I suppose the timer sort of provides a rushed feel but honestly the first few levels felt like I had more than enough time to get the score I needed to progress. Also the music was relatively slow and relaxing. I felt that I couldn't get passed level 2 not because I was rushed but because I just needed to "get good."

Creativity: Oh my this was awesome! Level 2 reminded me of Frogger. The art style and gameplay was novel and it thoroughly added to the experience. I love it!

Engagment: It's hard when you think its easy, and there is a clear learning curve to ascend before mastering this game. I could play it until completion, if I wasn't playing so many other game jam games this week!

Design: The sling shot mechanic felt natural and the physics felt believable and realistic. I never once felt like my ball should have when anywhere other than where it ended up. I think this would be a particularly tough mechanic for me to implement, so I really appreciate the time you took to make this all it can be. Thanks!

Audio: A fun, peppy, and unique soundtrack underscored the excellent player experience and added to the feel of the game. Bouncing, explosions, success noises, you name it, this game has it. You can't ask for more in an audio piece. Nice job!

Visuals: The art was original and felt natural with the game mechanic. It was not distracting and it clearly indicated the goals of the game and gave plenty of feedback to the player. You can't ask for much more than that!

Polish: Aha! Something I can critique. On the PC, the slingshot does not follow your mouse until you click down to begin your shot. This was very, very minor but it did make the controls feel a little janky. The current implementation would work very well on mobile because there is really no hovering on a touch screen, but on the PC it really feels like the slingshot should follow your mouse when it isnt pressed. Also, your debug window launched alongside my game when i downloaded the windows version?

This game is production ready in my opinion. Port it to mobile and people will buy it, I am sure of it. Being able to pull something like this together in such a short amount of time is nothing short of remarkable. Kudos. Keep up the good work!

Best Regards,

I really appreciate your feedback!! Thanks!! I also do feel like I need to work on the click and releasing the shots, a bit more. And in fact, I did this project having in mind for mobile devices.  I will be uploading this game on google play after making some adjustments, so please check back in few days. Thanks again!!

For some reason, I can't post comments on any account, just here.  Anyways, very clever how you used the theme :), and the visual is very cool!!, Thumbs Up!!
