Thank you so much for this super amazing feedback!! We didn't even remember that there's an official Itch launcher (... even though I have it downloaded ^v^;;), and we'll see what we can do to get it to launch through there once we're able to come back and update this!
I'm really glad you liked the writing of it all, it was one of my favorite parts of putting it together - honestly one of the driving factors behind us picking a text adventure as our genre, ahaha. It's funny, most people who've played so far have mentioned wanting to open the cabinet, though I haven't heard anybody wanting to get up to the prize bin (even though that was a feature we had to cut)! I wonder if it's because of the caution tape?
We ended up pretty crunched for time near the end and had to cut out a lot of our original plans for the demo - unfortunately that did include a way to manually enter the code, so we ended up having to compromise with flag-setting! That's definitely going to be something we'll change in the update, since we did originally want it to be manual (and a lot of people ended up having trouble figuring out that puzzle). That next update will also include the rest of the interactive stuff that ended up cut just due to time constraints, as well as some re-structuring of how commands are input / how the player is informed of them, including adding the "go out" command to the help screen ^-^
Thank you again for your feedback, it was super thoughtful and really exciting for us to have some more thorough knowledge on what did and didn't quite hit the mark! I hope you'll enjoy future updates to the game as well! c:
