Do what you want. if you have a dream follow it. Have your job be what you enjoy.

Those are the words I'm following to my job which someone has to do because it is a job, there will always be someone making what comes down the product line and that person does deserve respect. Not everyone will but someone will like many whom have with your game.

Please don't sacrifice your job (education) in updating this game or other games and take your time with them.

In regards to people linking this to your RL profile I wouldn't worry as long as you avoid mentioning or linking it to anything RL. Money wise that is hard but if you do something like having two paypals then that makes it less interesting when people wonder why your getting money from itch.io and not said about a game you put up on there as part of your porfolio.

My final few words are 3D is interesting but animations are a lot harder and clipping is a lot more likely which is a reason as to why there's so few good quality ones comapred to 2D. Though some games fail due to adding too many features or doing too much more than what was originally planned. (BTW your game is good quality, espically as a one person project)
