Hey thanks! I was planning one extra stuff but ran out of time before the submission deadline. The hearts were your health if yous tayed on the lava too long you would lose one, and if lost them all the level restarts.
It's cool, we had stuff we wanted to add but didn't have time for too. It gets faster and better each time you do a jam.
