Now that is what I call a clever way to send a message. When the second part first started, I was initially confused as to why I was seeing the same events again. However, as the dialogue progressed and the game made things clear, it clicked. It's not the most interactive game I've ever played, but the method of delivering the narrative here is well done.
I do think that the execution of the message could be enhanced further. Maybe you could walk through town in both times to see more of the differences between times and emphasize what parts didn't change. As it stands, the time between the end of the first half and the start of the second is small, and there isn't much time for things to really set in. It's executed well via the dialogue, but there is room to do more.
A pretty good showing overall!
