I think that not getting juice while far away is a normal thing, as it can happen with pretty much any damage source, and hence I'm not sure if it's necessarily a bug. I could be very wrong though.
I said that because it seems like the juice particles are stuck in the air whenever it is the black hole orb, instead of just not appearing like the rest
