at that moment he can see-she really, really does hate killing. She's built up a crapton of walls pretended like she just-has no emotions, like she's this hardened criminal but-underneath it all she's just a person. A scared, lonely girl who just...needs someone.

He doesn't know what to do obviously he doesn't really comfort people and doesn't know how. He really wasn't focused on her.
