It's interesting to see how someone else goes about the same concept.
I do like how you have the pieces start on the left and right. It definitely makes it easier to understand both sides while always setting up the same way.
I felt that having white on bottom makes more sense if you are playing by yourself (vs computer or over internet), but for hotseat gameplay this made more sense, not giving bias to any particular side.
