I really like the idea behind this game, but there were a few things that really held it back.
A and D controlling yaw instead of strafe was quite odd, especially when you could already control yaw with the mouse. The out-of-focus effect for nearby objects was also a strange decision to add. It hurt my eyes a bit, especially when you have to walk right up to a wall to push a button. Some kind of feedback, ideally visual and audible, would be nice to have when pushing buttons. I found myself constantly turning around to look at the door to check if the button push actually worked or not because I had no way of knowing otherwise.
