Interesting concept, but the gameplay is a bit lacking. Would have been nice if there was one more aspect of “being the apple” that gave the player more agency then simply moving away from the snake. Overall though, nice execution of a relatively original concept.

Off the top of my head, I would have implemented a system have the apple maybe break the snake in half? And so the apple could continuously break the snake into smaller and smaller chunks which makes it harder to move around but also reduces the snake little by little. To balance this, the snake could grow more quickly or the apple could have to recharge its “attack”. Honestly not a well fleshed out concept on my part but its an idea.
Edit: to clarify, the apple would “die” or “loose” if its touched by snake’s head rather than the whole body maybe?
