Dev Log 2 (Days 4-5)

Today, alongside getting my first covid vaccine, I coded the basic AI for the children. When close to the player, they have a slower movement speed(walk) and wander around in a small radius. When farther away, aka when the player leaves them behind, their movement speed increases(run) and they follow the player as closely as they can. I also made it so that they can help with foraging, and move towards the bushes to do this, although the player is much quicker at foraging comparing to them. But, having companions that help out is always nice.

In the future, I would also like to code them running away from pursuers and other more interesting reactive behaviour, but we'll see how much time I have. I originally planned to work all day every day, but I have other committments, sadly. Still, I'll try my best.

I have also experimented with making the player model in Blender, which will be similar to/the basis of the child model, but I haven't made anything I'm quite happy with yet.
