Somehow I seriously doubt you had any sort of child. I'm a game development and simulation major and making models and animations is tedious as hell using any program so doing that in addition to new places and programming literally anything? Its impressive. Why don't you step off and get over yourself my dude. If you think it should be easy and not take that long, try doing it yourself. Not just making a game, but making a game of this caliber.
