Did you delete the entire folder or just global_data.json? Because the game can pull data about CGs and other stuff from your save files too.
Also, if you're on steam - there might be cloud saves enabled

Ahh that was the problem! I deleted the folder initially but I had the Steam Cloud saves on, so it was pulling from that. Deleted that and the game is now reset! Thanks for the prompt response, now I can play! And btw, congrats on launching this! Been eager for the official release for quite awhile!
