So when you say pick one girl or have em all does this have any importance?.. Like for example will there be consequences if u have multiple girls?.. I personally don't mind that cause it makes shit more realistic.. In real life u can't date alot of girls and expect them to be like "ahh I'm fine with u seeing like a 100 other girls, we can all be happy together" that's just unrealistic VN BS
In real life this would cause very serious situations (and it is prohibited by law, only Arab countries allow polygamy), that's even very dangerous ... - but very many games allow you to do that.
(even gay games are also starting to do this, there are already a small handful of gay games that allow you to create a sort of harem for homosexuals)
It is only prohibited by law in the case of marriage not relationships. Also, it is quite possible to have several partners in a real life polyamorous "harem". A lot of people have started entering this sort of lifestyle. I personally have had this with a set of twins and their best friend. Typically what happens is one of the people involved is not as emotionally mature as the rest and they get jealous so the relationships have to change or end. I have some friends that the dynamic is 1 guy /w 3 girls and they have been solid in that 4 way relationship for about 4 yrs now, so yes it can and does happen but it isn't discussed much openly due to the sexually and emotionally limited views of the average person.
