This kind of gameplay is crazy ambitious for a jam like this. I am impressed that you were able to get the evolution mechanic in under the time constraint.

I do wish the controls were a little more ergonomic. I found myself having harder time moving up and down, sometimes having to look at my keyboard.

Thank you so much! I've been rolling the idea of an evolution mechanic around in my head for a while, and this jam was a good opportunity to try it out. I'm glad it came together.
The game works better on gamepad than keyboard, I think. I'm still looking for a way to make 4-directional movement and 4-directional combat work on keyboard. Something to work on. Thanks for the feedback!
