To those that can't play due to the "failed to load mono" error: the creator didn't zip in the "MonoBleedingEdge" folder. I copied this from another Unity game I had downloaded and the game worked.

Congrats on finishing your game. That's a big accomplishment!

The game is just fine. It could use a little tweaking. The camera shake is a bit much. The typos and grammatical errors even give it a bit of memey charm. Getting an "opps" flash on the screen when you hit a bad thing is kinda funny. Even though your game is inspired by DOWNWELL, it still does it's own thing. The mining blocks helps control your speed, and managing fuel is super important in the later stages. I like that the drill is a little house, too. Seems like it would be worse than living near railroad tracks!

The best way to get people to play and rate your game is to play and rate other games. Itch.io has a system called 'karma' that shows your games to other users if your ratio of your plays versus the times your game has been played is high. This means the more other games you play, rate, and leave good feedback on, the more likely folks will play and rate yours. Leaving a comment is a good way for folks to know you've played their game so then they can play yours. But asking for plays and good ratings isn't the way we grow the community. We grow, learn, and help each other by playing each others games, giving good feedback, encouraging each other, and enjoying the process. By directly asking for ratings, you're missing out on all of the opportunities an event like this has to offer. So go out, play other games, think critically about how or why someone made their game and leave a comment about it. Others will do the same for you. :)

Thanks for reading. I hope you continue to make games.

(and lastly - I'm pretty sure you don't have the legal rights to use any of that music, especially the game over screen :P )
