I figured out the issue.
Remapping the controls is the issue on PC. I think the game always defaults to wasd, and other keys like up left right down keys do dash and map.
Firing being X makes controlling the gun and movement with wasd and jumping a little weird.
I guess it's not the dash forward. It took a few tries before I realised this was the issue
wait, I figured out the problem. X is the shoot button.
I think the way the keyboard keys are configued is the problem.
I tried several layouts but it acted a little weird. I thought the only way to shoot was dash shoot but it was X, which is kinda hard to control when the main control is wasd. I tried mapping it to the up down left right but it didn't work correctly.
I think that's the issue. Otherwise it now feels good
