Yeah there is a bug where levels will finish when they shouldn't but I haven't been able to fix it yet. I will take a look at map 5-4 but there should be a way to solve it. As for the theme, it was much more relevant in its original concept but as I developed the game it went in a much different direction. It was originally supposed to be one room in multiple realities that you were navigating but I focused on the mechanic of the mazes shifting into each other when I stumbled into it.
